LabMaster ® Advanced Design (AD) product


Please Note: The LabMaster AD has been redesigned using higher resolution 16 bit Analog Circuitry.  This new replacement product is called the LabMaster ADEX (ADEX for Advanced Design EXtended) and is 100% hardware / software compatible with the LabMaster AD PGH.  It even uses the same 60 pin connector, so your existing external connections can remain the same, yet the LabMaster ADEX is much smaller physically than the LabMaster AD.  This page is to help and provide information to current users of the LabMaster AD.

LabMaster AD vs. LabMaster ADEX

The LabMaster Advanced Design (AD) combines the features of several high-performance products into a single PC card. With a full range of features such as Analog Input, Analog Output, Digital I/O and Precision Timer/Counters - the LabMaster AD provides the functionality required for a wide range of test and measurement applications.  Great care is taken in the design and manufacturing of the LabMaster AD to insure a quality product that provides accuracy and stability for demanding applications. Its unique features, rugged design and reliability make it ideal for acquiring and analyzing data in industrial, scientific, and educational fields.

The LabMaster AD features high speed analog-to-digital conversion, sample FIFO buffering, coordinated simultaneous ADC and DAC capabilities, programmable gain amplifiers, high speed counters/timers and digital I/O on a single card. The product comes complete with the Lab Master AD card, cabling, screw termination board, and Lab Master AD software toolkit.

Additional Features:
On-board sample memory, Auto-sequence Channel Array Table; DeskTop BNC, screw terminals, header and DB connection units.
Suggested Uses:
Ultra-low Noise acquisitions for medical EEG/EKG, sleep labs, sensor measurements, or  product development and testing.  High channel count (up to 64 Analog Inputs) and versatile expandability to meet your particular requirements. 
Software Support:
32-bit kernel-mode Win Device Drivers and function library.

LabMaster AD PGL with 60 pin connector

The only difference between the PGL and the PGH versions of the card, are the software programmable gains:

PGH: 1, 2, 4, 8
PGL: 1, 10, 100, 1000

We have found that most LabMaster AD PGL users are not using the programmable gain option, and hence could just as well use the PGH version of the card. 

Sometimes third party resellers would purchase either card as their application program could automatically account for the difference, or because the software gain options were not being used.

If you need a replacement for a LabMaster AD PGL, then we suggest you consider the LabMaster ADEX.  Note that the ADEX will look like a LabMaster AD PGH to your application (with gains of 1, 2, 4, 8)
