3M Overhead Projector Model 9100 in Excellent Condition

The 3M Overhead Projector being offered is really a nice pice of equipment. It was purchased new by us and never used. I classify it as "used" only because I no longer have the original packing box. Other than that, it is excellent with no marks, scuffs or scratches. It comes with the original manual.

We purchased this unit along with an LCD projection panel. We selected this particular overhead projector because it has a High / Low lamp switch - allowing us to use the low for normal presentations and the High when using the LCD projection panel. We never used the projector or the LCD panel.

This projector can have two internal lamps. This is so if you are in the middle of a presentation and the first one burns out, you can switch to the second lamp and keep going. It comes with only one lamp installed (this is how 3M sold this unit) with the other lamp socket empty.

The 3M 9100 overhead projector is easily portable and ready to go once you remove it from the box--there is nothing to be assembled. The post assembly that holds the projection head aloft is hinged against the body of the unit, and a loosening turn of a knob swings it into place.

The body is well designed and made of a sufficiently durable grade and weight of plastic to make this model a good choice for heavy usage. Simple to use, one switch turns the projector on and off, and a separate control panel allows you to change the lamp to high or low intensity. The lamp bulb is easily changed, and the power cord can be neatly wrapped around twin brackets at the bottom front.

The instruction manual (divided into English, French, and Spanish sections) is simple and straightforward. It is primarily useful for its easy troubleshooting should any problems arise, such things as a faulty bulb or projecting onto a screen that is not perpendicular to the projected image. This 3M model is ideal for classrooms, business meetings, and large presentations of any sort.

Features:

The TMS320C2x emulator offers real-time in-circuit emulation with breakpoints, logic-state tracing, and target system debugging capabilities for hardware and software systems using the TMS320C2x Digital Signal Processor.

This XDS22 unit consists of the following:

This unit was used in an engineering lab to develop audio and video products that use the Texas Instruments TMS320C25 DSP.

Here is how you use this unit. You design your product to use a TMS320C25 DSP. Then you make your circuit board and install a 68pin PLCC socket where the DSP is suppose to go. Then you plug in the "TMS320C25 PLCC68 target system cable" from the XDS22 into the 68pin socket on your circuit board. Now you connect the serial communications cable to your computer and run a communications program to communicate to the XDS22. Then you can download you DSP software from the computer to the XDS22, where the software will execute just like it was an actual C25 part...but with the added benefits of being able to step-thru the code, use break points and be able to monitor timing. This allows you to fully debug and optimize your DSP software.

I know this system can be modified to also work with the TMS320C1x series of DSP devices - but to do this you have to replace the TMS320CX emulator card (which is install in the XDS) with a TMS320C1X emulator card. I don't know if the XDS22 will work with other TI DPS/uP products and you will have to contact TI to ask these questions.

The unit is used, but in great shape and fully operational. We are the original purchaser of this equipment and obtained it directly from Texas Instruments. It was used in our engineering lab for only about 1 year and then carefully stored in our temperature/humidity controlled lab. We opened up the unit and it is like new clean with the internal filters showing absolutely no dust or dirt. It has always been well cared for as it was an expensive piece of equipment.

This unit would be good for anyone designing Digital Signal Processing applications that use the Texas Instruments TMS320C2x parts (or possibly other parts, contact TI to check). It would be a great teaching and/or learning device for "hands on" development of DSP code. We also have some TMS320C25FNL devices in stock that we can sell in addition to this unit. The TMS320C25 is not the latest device from TI, but it is still a very good device and still available. In circuit emulators such as this that can plug into a socket and behave like the device while providing simulation, trace, step-by-step code execution, breakpoints, full register read back, etc. generally cost upwards to $10,000.

This unit comes in the original box along with the users guide, power cable and serial communications cable.
