Solvent Extract Solution for Omega Meter Contamination Measurement System

Solvent Extract Bottle
Picture shows a 1 Liter Bottle of the Solvent Extract

Description

The OmegaMeter uses a wash solution of 75% by volume of ACS reagent grade isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and 25% by volume of deionized distilled water.

This "wash" solution is also referred to as the "Test Solvent" or "Extract Solvent" as its purpose is to wash off, or extract contaminates from a circuit board.

You initially fill your ionic test equipment with this Test Solvent.

The solution concentration in the equipment (Alcohol/Water Ratio) may eventually change due to evaporation and the level may drop due to drag on the tested assemblies.

You will use 99% IPA and pure deionized water to adjust the concentration when necessary to bring it back into compliance. The ionic test equipment generally has a menu-prompted procedure to accomplish this.

Once the concentration is brought back to the 75%/25% compliant level, then use this pre-mixed Test Solvent to bring the level of fluid to the full mark.
