Scientific Solutions ® Inc.
Solid State Relay (SSR) Products
Scientific Solutions offers a number of products for Digital Input and
Output. Some of these products, such as the BaseBoard series, are
particularly suited for the task. Other products are
multifunctional and include digital I/O as one of their many functions.
In addition to the Digital I/O products, Scientific Solutions offers a
number of options including Solid-State Relay Racks and Solid State
Relays. Listed here is a brief overview of the SSR products.

Title |
Solid State Relay Rack, 8 Position for Standard size relays |
Overview |
Relay Racks are circuit boards that have positions to allow the plugging in of the
Solid State Relay (SSR) Modules. The Relay Racks have a connector to cable between
the rack and the digital I/O signals. The Relay Racks also have screw terminal connections
to connect to your DC voltage and AC voltage signals. Note that some Relay Racks are
made for "Standard" size SSR Modules, while other Relay Racks are made for "Mini" size
SSR Modules. Make sure you select the correct Relay Rack for the Module size you use.

SSR, DC Output, 60v DC, Standard Size
Image |
|
Part Number |
381006 |
Title |
Solid State Relay, DC Output, 60v DC, Standard Size |
Overview |
Digital I/O signals from the computer are typically TTL type of signals. This means that they
are 5v logic and can typically source/sink current in the 15 to 64ma range.
If you need to control or sense higher voltage signals (example 60v DC or 120v/240v AC)
and/or higher current signals (example 3 Amps instead of 64ma), then a solution could be
to use Solid-State-Relays (SSR).
